Young experts from QUATEST 3 participate in the YOUNG EXPERT PROGRAM 2024 in Taiwan

With the agreement of the Commission for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Viet Nam, young experts from the Quality Assurance and Testing Center 3 (QUATEST 3) recently took part in the YOUNG EXPERT PROGRAM 2024 in Taiwan from September 3 to 5. ;

ANF stands for Asia Network Forum. ANF was founded in 2000 to provide convenient and quick certification services for enterprises; capacity building through technical sharing among member organizations; to develop a system to promote mutual recognition and expand the certification market; and to reflect on common opinions from the Asian region in international advisory bodies such as ISO and IEC.

The ANF Young Expert Program (ANF YEP) is a program within the context of ANF's annual activities that aims to build international leadership capabilities, foster collaboration, and promote the ANF brand globally among young experts under the age of 40. The program allows Young Experts in Asia to interact, discuss, and engage with members about the goals of standardization operations in the fields of electrical and electronics.

The following activities make up the program's major content:

1. Opening session: The program begins with a welcoming address from the host, ETC. Delegates exchange a synopsis of the agencies and organizations that are members;

2. Technical sharing session: Representatives discuss new rules and the organization's main technical directions, with an emphasis on topics that are of importance to ANF, such as TRON (Electronics, entertainment), OFF (IT and office equipment), and HOUS (Household and related equipment);

3. The new feature of this year's ANF YEP is the Brainstorming discussion session;

4. Taking a site trip to Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation, the manufacturing company.

QUATEST 3 became a member of ANF in 2009 and made numerous beneficial contributions to the organization's operations.

In order to participate more actively in ANF activities, QUATEST 3 has nominated two young experts, Mr. Nguyen Dang Anh Phung, TO of Energy Efficiency Testing Laboratory, and Mr. Truong Chi Trung, staff of the Industrial Electrical Testing Laboratory, to participate in the ANF YEP 2024 program.

During the program's Opening Session, a young expert from QUATEST 3 introduced organization.

Furthermore, delegates from QUATEST 3 presented on "New regulations on national certification in Vietnam for household electrical and electronic products and testing capacity of QUATEST 3" during the Technical Sharing Session. Delegates from JQA (Japan), EEI (Thailand), KTL (Korea), and ETC (Taiwan) engaged in lively discussion during the presentation.

Especially, during the Brainstorming discussion session, young expert from QUATEST 3 actively shared and contributed ideas about the future development directions of ANF in general, and the ANF YEP in particular.

The engagement of QUATEST 3 representatives in the ANF YEP program reflects QUATEST 3's role and good contributions to ANF activities. And it demonstrates that QUATEST 3 is an active member of the Asia Network Forum, fostering multilateral and bilateral collaborations among ANF member organizations, improving interactions, learning from each other's experiences, and utilizing new organizational technological technologies. QUATEST 3 in particular, and Viet Nam in general, are gradually gaining testing and certification capacity from famous regional and international organizations in order to better accomplish domestic responsibilities assigned by the government and meet the needs of domestic and foreign industries...

Viet Nam's involvement in ANF allows foreign firms and corporations to enter the Vietnamese market, hence encouraging international and regional commerce. At the same time, Vietnamese businesses benefit from numerous benefits in terms of trade, exports, product quality, and consumer protection.
